Think that salad is good for your heart? Think again.

In a study conducted in the Middle East showed that women who had the greatest intake of PHVOs showed  the greatest levels of CRP, a marker for inflammation in the cardiovascular system. Bu contrast, higher intakes of non-HVOs are associated with lower plasma concentrations of these biomarkers. Typical salad dressings of this type are sunflower oil, corn oil, canola oil, soybean oil, and olive oil.
